I would say agency or large hospital if Possible to gain more security and exposure.

My main question: Is it difficult to guarantee that I will get the number of hours I want (about 18/week)?

Also, what kind of qualifications do home health agencies normally look for in a nurse? Are there any special skills they like to see on a resume? (wound vacs, PICC line care, etc.)?

As an RN in home health care, you’re going to be doing this like evaluating the clients or things that caregivers and CNAs can’t do.
Just ask the agency you want to work at what they require you to know.
And, in my experience, it can be hard to get the hours you want. Sometimes you get too few. Other times, they give you more shifts than you can handle.
