How To Become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)


Mοѕt training programs, lasting about 1 year, are offered by vocational or technical schools or community or junior colleges. Overall job prospects are expected to be very ехсеllеnt, but job outlook varies by industry. Replacement needs will be a foremost fund of job openings, as many workers leave the occupation permanently.

    @pinkedheart It all depends on how quickly you get accepted into the program. I reckon most take 2-4 years. I know once you get into the program..depending on where you go…it’s 1 1/2 years. But a lot of times they require some college..so you have to do that too.. at smallest amount where i live

    np does the same thing as a doctor, lpn does similiar duites as an rn…just cant hang blood, and stuff

    No. It is a Licensed Practical Nurse. Essentially, you follow the same curriculum as a 1st year RN student. After you graduate you can then take prereqs for the RN program and join them in the second year (as space allows). There are certain things as an LPN you can’t do that an RN can namely administer meds through and I.V. and blood transfusions.
